Last week we had the privledge of be giving a guided tour of Sheridan's Innovative Visualization Design studio. It is here that team members work creating what eventually will become cutting edge interactive multimedia design.
The first project we were introduced to was a multimedia, tutorial app, that the lab had developed for the OPP. The interactive app was created to help police cadets practice and refine various techniques; ie, from pulling over vehicles to determining the speed vehicles were traveling, prior to being involved in a traffic accident. This was done by analyzing their skid marks...... Unfortunately , it was around this point that, due to the sudden onset of wicked naseau, I had to bail quickly or I would have added some unwanted visual design of my own to the floor of the studio. Something I think nobody wanted to see
Anyway, that being said, I did find the sojourn to be an interesting look at what occurs behind the walls of a "top secret" design studio!
Check out bigspaceship This is a really cool design studio in New York that creates many of their projects in Flash - Real cool NIke ad there, and also this interactive site where by manipulating the keyboard you control the beats and act as the dj for a virtual rave........pretty fun!!!!
